Dealers Steal Joy of Collecting/Sacramento Union/Nov. 5, 1989
I had to include this one for a couple of reasons. One, there was no Internet, or DVDs, or anything online when I wrote this but I had a pretty good eye on the future, even though I would never have predicted the day I could buy the above mentioned Kirk Gibson home run game complete, with Vin Scully announcing, for $1.99 on iTunes. The other is this was the last column I would write for the Union, as I was let go just a few weeks later when the paper was sold to a local developer. Guess they didn’t like my column much, eh?!
