Larry Worman was a classic case of a good college quarterback playing as long as he could but hitting the end of the road. Worman was the QB at Nevada the last year I was there, the 1978 season, so it was fun covering him for the Buffalos and having those college ties in common. But I had forgotten how bitter he was with his treatment at Nevada under coach Chris Ault, who is still there.
