I had left sports a couple of years before, but after it was announced that the Kings were moving to Sacramento, a contact at The Sporting News -- where I had written several stories in the past -- asked me to write on the Kings. I gladly obliged, and it turned out to be the only story I’ve ever written on the Kings.
