When the card collecting industry blew open in 1988 or, I jumped on the bandwagon and started doing a twice-monthly column for the Union’s Showcase section, and this is one example. FYI, the market did eventually become saturated, plenty of dealers went under, and it stabilized to what it is today. And what is the 1989 Upper Deck set mentioned here going for 23 years later? An unopened set can be had for $60-$70 . . .
